Danish Design

Royal Copenhagen

The Royal Porcelain Factory (Royal Copenhagen) was centrally located in the heart of the city. The porcelain factory has today been transformed into modern housing and home of the Copenhagen Business School.
Royal Copenhagen porcelain can still be purchased at the old factory on Søndre Fasanvej where Royal Copenhagen has its Outlet store.

Georg Jensen

With a history spanning more than a 100 years, Georg Jensen represents unique, quality craftsmanship and timeless, aesthetic design, ranging from hollowware to watches, jewellery and products for the home.

Georg Jensen’s own philosophy was to create democratic design that was both functional and beautiful. His craftsmanship and artistic talent, coupled with his ability to identify and support design talent, was the foundation upon which he built the company Georg Jensen in Copenhagen in 1904.

At Søndre Fasanvej 9 is Georg Jensen’s Outlet store, selling ranges of jewellery, watches and home interior products.

At Falconer Allé 7 is one of the B&O’s branches, where you can experience Bang & Olufsen’s new Sensory Store concept – a whole new way of experiencing Bang & Olufsen’s products.

Furniture design

There are several furniture stores in Frederiksberg that carry both classical and contemporary Danish furniture design. Below is a selection of some of the larger shops in the area:

3 FALKE MØBLER
After more than 20 years in the furniture industry, both abroad and at home, Ole Faarup acquired 3 Falke Møbler in 1978. It has since been Ole Faarup’s goal to create an “interiors house”, where, in addition to a large selection of the best in European and Danish design, customers also enjoy an experience.
At 3 Falke Møbler, you experience the atmosphere in changing environments, where old and new are mixed and matched. The latest new products from the international fairs and the classic Danish pieces. Thanks to Ole Faarup’s great interest in modern art, and his chairing of Det Danske Kunstsamlerselskab (the Danish Art Collectors’ Society), the furniture is also supplemented by excellent contemporary art by Danish and international artists.

FICK
FICK was created by Rikke and Poul Fick. In 1994, Rikke opened a small shop on Godthåbsvej, selling handicrafts. At the time, Poul had a wholesale company which designed fabrics and lamps for Danish companies. They joined forces in 2000 to form FICK on Gammel Kongevej
The basement was initially a workshop, but as the store developed, the basement was filled with furniture, lamps and quirky details.

Anton Dam
Anton Dam is one of Denmark’s leading furniture stores selling furniture, Hästens beds and design from the world’s most recognised manufacturers. The store has been in Frederiksberg for more than 125 years, and although the company has changed in appearance over time, our core values have remained unchanged. We prize high quality and personal service higher than anything else.

Aisen
Aisen is a modern furniture store on three floors, centrally located in Frederiksberg, close to Copenhagen. The furniture store offers a wide range of quality furniture, and has special departments for wardrobes and sofa beds.
