14th February – Wednesday
Join the exciting speed dancing in the Old Irish Pub from 19:00 o’clock, where you will have the chance to dance with a lot of potential partners in the form of Malecon Valentines Party – Red Moves, where you can try Bachata, kizomba and salsa among many other programs. Disney on Ice returns to Denmark with their amazing show, the Enchanting Worlds. The show is an experience for the whole family, so bring the youngest and the oldest as well to enjoy this unique show of the most famous Disney characters on the 14th or 15th of February in Forum Copenhagen. The show includes, among many things, the best moments of The Little Mermaid, Toy Story 3, Frozen, Cars and all the other classics performed on ice by some of the world’s most talented skaters. 15th February – Thursday
On the 15th of February it will be ten years since The Coffee Collective has opened their first shop. They are excited to invite you to celebrate this anniversary, every coffee drinks will be sold for 10 kr and the turnover will go directly to a project at one of the coffee producers they have worked with for eight years: Kieni. If you want to give more than 10,- for your coffee drink, the money will go straight to this project. More information in the Facebook event description!
The handball players of Fny are coming to Copenhagen on this Thursday, so if you are interested in handball games, do not miss this exciting game, starting at 20:30. After being a sideman for American and Danish jazz icons for several years, Jan Nielsen in 2016 chose to create his own band, called Flying Jazzman. The band plays solid swinging jazz inspired by Nat King Cole, Oscar Peterson, Errol Garner and Gene Harris. Jan Nielsen, Flying Jazzman, for several years lived in the United States, has played gigs in New Orleans as well as being a regular musician in a gospel church in southern Alabama.
Step into the world of Kodo, created by our past, our present, and our dedication to the future of taiko performing arts. This production showcases the perpetual creative evolution of taiko performing arts ensemble Kodo under the artistic direction of Tamasaburo Bando. 16th February – Friday
Copenhagen Theatre Circle’s Open Stage event welcomes performers of all genres: poets, storytellers, stand-up comedians, singers, dancers, clowns, musicians, magicians, etc. etc. A call to artists old and new: this is the space you have been looking for to try out your work in front of an energetic and supportive audience. Copenhagen wants to see what you’ve got! If you wish to come along and watch, just turn up – entry is free and there are cold drinks and delicious food available to purchase.
17th February – Saturday
Los Fuegos is a multicultural band with Latin and Balkan musical bases. The band consists of musicians from Mexico, Bosnia and Denmark, and their exotic backgrounds are reflected in their music, which manifests itself in one big party where you can enjoy the memory of warmer summer nights and brighter times! The band’s sound speaks to the desire and the urge of man to dance.
Next year, TOTO celebrates their 40th anniversary with a new album, 40 Trips Around The Sun, and a world tour of the same name, bringing them to the Forum in Copenhagen this Saturday. The band entertains the audience for nearly four decades, delivering their characteristic and adventurous fusion of pop, rock, funk, soul, jazz and blues melodies. In 2018, the Danish audience will be able to sing both old and new hits when the band occupies Copenhagen on their 40 Trips Around The Sun Tour.
